so I never played the MSX Metal Gear Games, I started with MGS3 myself, I loved it, I then played MGSGZ / MGSV (loved them aswell) after that I hit up MGS1 [Emulated / Intergral PC] and MGS2 on PC, also amazing titles then I played all the spin-offs and stuff on PSP ect, even played a GBA MGS1 title xD (ghost babel) there where not as good but I love Peace Walker and Portable Ops....


then I come to the MSX titles, I played the MGS3 Version of MG1 and hated it, Its just waaay too old for me (and I do like old games may I add, just not as old as the MSX, a console I never used) I also never even touched MG2: Solid Snake but it looks cool, I gotta admit that....

anyway it might make my opinion mean less by telling you I never played the MSX stuff but I just think you should know this, before reading the game review :P


GAME REVIEW - MG2 THE RETURN OF SOLID SNAKE
so MG2: TROSS (the return of solid snake) is a recreation of MG2 in DOOM (1993) and it will work with GZDoom aswell :D

the game has no new weapons except from 1 SMG for the chaingun I think (could be wrong doe)

the missions seem to be shorter pieces of parts in MG2 imho, I watched gameplay of MG2 to draw a comparison before playing, in my initial play-through I fought one boss and the Metal Gear itself, I never fought BB tho. I will need to dig into the game further to see if any more content exists that I've missed ...
